During this active luxury Everest Base Camp trek 13 days adventure, you will first discover the cultural riches of Kathmandu and sleep in the best 5-star hotel in the capital.
Then you will depart for the magnificent flight to Lukla and make 7 days trek through the Khumbu Villages where the famous Sherpa with their time stood Tibetan Buddhist monasteries live. Throughout, you will sleep in the luxury mountain lodges and finest tea houses (except for Lobuche and Gorakshep) with optimum comfort.
You will also visit the Tengboche Monastery and immerse yourself in the bustling hustle and bustle of Namche Bazaar, the most important trading post for the Sherpas. Once you cross Lobuche, the 5364 m high Everest Base Camp and the 5644 m high Kala Patthar will beckon you in Gorakshep.

Welcome to Kathmandu, the heart of all the mountaineering action! Once through TIA, an agent of Nyindha Adventures will meet you and escort you to your deluxe five-star hotel. Take as many moments as you need to settle in; later our guide will discuss the trekking itinerary of our luxury Everest Base Camp trek and will also tell you about your city tour the next day.
After breakfast, you will be taken for a complete Kathmandu private excursion. With our experienced city guide, you will travel through the monuments of Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and the Palace Square of Kathmandu. Next, we will prepare for the trip and our guide will assess your gear and suggest for any necessary purchases. If needed, you can also rent equipment with our guide’s assistance. Please make sure to sleep early as we may have to proceed at midnight for the onward Lukla flight. In the hustling spring and fall time, the Lukla flight from TIA may not be possible due to high air surge. In such cases, we will have to redirect towards Ramechhap and then fly on to Lukla. Ramechhap is only 4 to 5 hour distance from the city for which we will offer you a private four wheel with our driver.
Rise and shine and there we fly exceedingly towards Lukla over Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Everest. With the smiling faces, we will be received by our local support team after which we start walking calmly down along Dudh Koshi to Phakding.
Taking in the rural environment of Chheplung, Chaurikharka (Yak Pasture), Thadokoshi, and Ghat, we will be at Phakding by late afternoon. With Kusum Kanguru, Kongde Ri and Khumbila, we will have our hot meal at our luxury lodge.
After a short gracious hike through Benkar and Chumoa Villages, we will be at Monjo. Crossing the boundary of the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, we will proceed over a hemp bridge towards Jorsalle. After around 40 minutes of progression, Hilary Bridge will come on our way. Glancing at Taboche, we will then make it to the opposite road which climbs us abruptly to Everest View Point/Top Danda (3140 m) and then on to Namche.
A luxury breakfast awaits this morning at Namche after which we can engage in brief acclimating walks in the town. There are multiple activity options available such as you can ascend higher to Everest View Hotel (3880 m), explore Khumjung and its Hilary school and Gompa, or trek to Khundu and Thame. Our guide will be with you to lead you on your chosen hikes.
We will ascend through the rhododendron and juniper forests into the deep Dudh Koshi Gorge. Then, our trek will continue over another drawbridge over the Imja River. We will then move upward towards Phungi Thanga (3250 m) and continue to move up for 2 hours to Tengboche. Here, we have the most historic and grand monastery belonging to 17th century. We may attend a ceremony with the monks here after which we will hike through a pretty forest for 30 minutes to an hour to Deboche. The comfort of our luxury lodge will be enhanced by the ice giants of Ama Dablam, Taboche, Lhotse, Kongde, Everest, Kangtega, and Thamserku right from our window.
We will graciously climb for an hour through the pretty forest to reach Pangboche (3900 m). After a quick look at its monastery, we will move ahead into Imja Valley and meet the lovely Lobuche River. After crossing this charming river, we will then slowly and calmly climb towards Dingboche where we can see the fascinating massive giant of Lhotse in the vibrant shades of red.
To further acclimatize to the unfamiliar altitude, we will be spending another night in Dingboche. Like Namche, this village also offers multiple choices of acclimating trips. For example, you can choose to take a trip to Chhukung and ascend the Chhukung Ri (5550 m) or climb higher to the 5083 m high Nangkartshang Peak.
We will engage in a small climb of around 100 m towards the Dusa Village. Then following the ridge trail, we will shortly be at Dughla (4620 m) where lunch will be served. Prepare for the rigorous ascent towards 4830 m Dugh La Pass where we will pray in front of the many memorial stones erected for the fallen climbers and Sherpas. Our hike will now gently go uphill along the narrow trail between the Khumbu Side Wall and the Lobuche Mountain. Soon Lobuche Village will be on our sight with Lingtren, Mahalangur, Pumori, Lobuche and Khumbutse Peaks.
A small ascent along the long Khumbu Glacier wall will lead us toward the Lobuche Pass. Then, we will have to face several ascents and descents over the terminal moraine of the Changri Nup Glacier followed by a strenuous climb to Gorakshep. We will take some moment of break and lunch, of course, and then we will continue up the valley across the debris-covered glacier of the Khumbu. After around 2 hours, we will be at EBC where the infamous Khumbu Icefall, Lhotse, and Nuptse imposingly loom above us. After a brief respite and excursion, we will head back for our evening rest in Gorakshep.
Finally, the triumphing day of our Luxury Everest Base Camp trek has arrived. For the summit of the Black Mountain the Kala Patthar, we will rise early and climb beyond the dried-up Gorakshep Lake. The rocky route will now guide us up for around 1 to 2 hours till we are at the excellent vantage point to be near the Everest pyramid. The deep view of Nuptse, Changri, and Khumbu Glaciers along with Pumori, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Changtse, Lingtren, and Khumbutse can also be seen very close.
We will now head down to Gorakshep and while we are savoring the hot meal, our helicopter will be on its way to fly us back towards Kathmandu. Our shuttle may briefly stop at Lukla for needed fueling. At Kathmandu TIA, our respective vehicle will be on board to take you back to your exquisite hotel. Then, in the evening, we will once again come together for a pleasing Nepali dinner.
You will get an extra day in Kathmandu if the helicopter ride takes in time; otherwise, it will happen today. When you are in Kathmandu, we will be happy to set up for you an additional tour to Patan and Bhaktapur.
On your timed flight to your home, our agent will go with you to TIA ending our luxury Everest Base Camp trek 13 days journey.
