The Jomolhari Base Camp Trek is Bhutan’s most celebrated high-Himalayan journey, leading trekkers into the shadow of sacred Mount Jomolhari (7,314 m), the “Mountain of the Goddess.” Following ancient trading trails up the Paro Chhu valley, the route passes through blue-pine forests, alpine meadows grazed by yaks, and remote villages where highland life continues as it has for centuries. The dramatic amphitheatre of peaks at Jangothang base camp is one of the finest mountain vistas in the entire Himalaya. This is a demanding but deeply rewarding trek that combines raw wilderness with the spiritual richness of Bhutanese mountain culture.
