Explore the wilderness of Bardia National Park, one of Nepal’s renowned wildlife destinations. This 5-day safari experience combines guided walking tours, jeep safaris, wildlife observation, and comfortable accommodation, offering an opportunity to discover Nepal’s rich biodiversity and natural landscapes.
Your Bardia Jungle Safari begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, which takes approximately one hour.
After arriving in Nepalgunj, you will be welcomed by the local representative and transferred by jeep to your hotel near Bardia National Park. The drive allows you to experience the changing landscapes of Nepal as you travel toward the western lowlands.
Upon arrival at your accommodation, check in and take some time to relax and settle into your surroundings. The remainder of the day is reserved for leisure, allowing you to prepare for the upcoming wildlife activities.
Lunch and dinner will be provided, and you can enjoy a peaceful evening at the hotel before beginning your safari experiences.
After breakfast, begin your guided walking tour inside Bardia National Park. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, you will explore the park’s natural surroundings on foot.
Walking through the park provides a closer and more immersive experience of the forest, grasslands, and wildlife habitats. Your guide will introduce you to the park’s ecology, vegetation, and the signs of wildlife activity found along the trail.
During the walk, you may observe animal tracks, birds, plants, and other details that can be difficult to notice during a vehicle safari. The pace of the walking tour allows you to appreciate the natural environment while learning about the park’s conservation efforts.
After approximately 4–5 hours of exploration, return to your accommodation to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
Today, enjoy a full-day jeep safari through Bardia National Park. Traveling by jeep allows you to cover a larger area of the park while exploring different wildlife habitats.
The safari will focus on observing wildlife and looking for signs of the Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the park’s most iconic animals. Your experienced guide will help you identify animal tracks, movement patterns, and other indications of wildlife activity.
The safari requires patience and careful observation, as wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and animal movements. Along the way, you will have opportunities to appreciate the park’s forests, grasslands, and diverse ecosystem.
After approximately 6–7 hours of safari exploration, return to your hotel for rest and relaxation. All scheduled meals will be provided.
Your fourth day combines a jeep safari with a walking tour, giving you two different ways to explore Bardia National Park.
Begin with a jeep excursion through various sections of the park. Traveling by vehicle allows you to reach wider areas and explore different landscapes where wildlife may be present.
You will also participate in a guided walking experience, offering a closer look at the natural surroundings. Your guide will share information about the park’s flora, fauna, habitats, and ecological importance. Combining vehicle exploration and walking provides a varied experience, allowing you to observe the park from different perspectives. Depending on the season, weather, and wildlife activity, you may have opportunities to observe different species in their natural environment. After approximately 7–8 hours of exploration, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, prepare for your return journey from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the airport for your approximately one-hour flight. As you travel back to Kathmandu, you can reflect on your experiences exploring Bardia National Park, including the guided walks, jeep safaris, and wildlife encounters. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, your Bardia Jungle Safari officially comes to an end. You may continue your onward journey, return home, or make arrangements for additional travel in Nepal.
